Transports
Transport (means and/or goods):
The economic value of the means of transport damaged following an accident is protected for direct damage, including extensions such as land transport, socio-political and atmospheric events, sailing regattas and trips to unprotected waters (for boats), damage to engines and damage to personal effects. If the guarantee concerns damage to goods, this is referred to as the insurance of transported goods . Transport insurance also covers transport-related liabilities: e.g. land carrier liability for damage to goods transported by truck, liability for maritime, lake and inland waterway vehicles (including carrier's liability).
